Use of radiotherapies in breast cancer

Robert W. Mutter, M.D., a radiation oncologist at Mayo Clinic's campus in Rochester, Minnesota, discusses the latest approaches for using radiotherapies to treat breast cancer. Radiation oncologists have learned that radiation therapy for breast cancer can be given over shorter treatment regimens and can be as effective at curing the cancer. In addition to discussing more traditional radiotherapies, Dr. Mutter also discusses proton beam therapy and brachytherapy, two additional specialized forms of radiotherapy.
